"You Are What You Eat"
Does that saying ring a bell? You've heard it a million times but have you ever stopped to really think about it? That saying is more true then most of us realize! Our bodies need fuel to run efficiently and what we eat, what we put in our mouths is our fuel, it's what gives us energy, it's what keeps our bodies running at optimum levels...A healthy body is running at optimum levels! Most Americans do not get the daily requirements of nutrients needed to keep our bodies working properly and maintain a healthy state. In this fast paced society most of what we eat is processed therefore a lot of it's nutritional value has been depleted. Most of the produce we consume is picked well before it ripens in the fields and on the trees but few people know that most of the nutrients found in fruits and vegetables are obtained through the last stages of ripening on the plant.
